Welcome to the Fort Mohave Chapter, NSDAR!
The National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR or DAR) is a service organization open to any woman 18 years and older who can prove lineal descent from an American Revolutionary War Patriot. Much of the work of DAR is accomplished by volunteers in its chapters across the United States and internationally in order to promote historic preservation, education, and patriotism.
Fort Mohave Chapter, NSDAR, was organized in Bullhead City, Arizona, in 1992. We serve Bullhead City and surrounding communities. Our chapter members’ interests are varied, and we strive to show our dedication to the mission of DAR to promote historic preservation, education, and patriotism.
These are examples of what we do to support our mission:
Historic preservation
- Sponsor various essay contests and citizenship awards at our local schools
- Conduct genealogical research of our families and provide assistance to prospective members
- Volunteer with genealogical preservation and historic preservation activities
Education
- Provide funds and other items to DAR sponsored schools
- Promote education and citizenship through youth programs such as Children of the American Revolution, DAR Good Citizens, and Junior American Citizens
- Sponsor American History essay contests in our schools
.
- Volunteer and participate in various activities to support our veterans
- Promote Constitution Week each year in September
- Present patriotic awards to deserving individuals, including DAR Good Citizen Awards and Community Service Awards
We invite you to contact our chapter registrar, who will help you get started in becoming a member of DAR, including tracing your heritage to find an American Revolutionary War Patriot.
