Promoting Historic Preservation, Education, Patriotism, and Service in our Communities

The Fort Mohave Chapter, NSDAR, is dedicated to the objectives of DAR. Each year, our members choose projects that we can work on together or independently. We also encourage our members to join in other community service work.

Historic preservation

Members of our Fort Mohave Chapter, NSDAR, are passionate about serving our community and preserving its history. We recently cleaned the Bullhead City Hardyville Pioneer Cemetery.

We are currently working toward the placement of a Patriot Commemorative Monument along the River Walk in Bullhead City, near the Vietnam Veterans Eternal Flame Monument.

Education

Fort Mohave Chapter, NSDAR, is a strong supporter of education, including:

  • Recognizing outstanding students in our area who participate as cadets in the Junior Reserve Officers Training Corps (JROTC) by awarding medals
  • Supporting the history library in a local Boys & Girls Clubs of America
  • Supporting local schools with donations of books, supplies, scholarships, and awards, including the American History Essay Contest and the DAR Good Citizens Awards and Scholarships

Patriotism

Our chapter supports active duty service members and veterans in many ways. Recently, we greeted hundreds of veterans as they came through Needles, California, on their way to Washington, D.C.
